Samantha Weeks, commander of the 57th Adversary Tactics Group at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, said the gear has improved since she started flying in 1997, but more still needs to be done. ‘When you go back and look historically, the last time that we really had a major update to medical standards was in the 1960s,” Weeks told Air Force Times, referencing that anthropometric data must be updated.’”
